Aura painting at Dark Days Alternative Market April 2018

With many apologies for not uploading anything in my blog for such a long time (too many things and events!!!), I kick off with photos of my participation in the wonderful Dark Days Alternative Market  organised by Absinthe Promotions in Whitby in April 2018.

It was such a wonderful experience being part of this event and I surely enjoyed doing aura painting portraits of so many people there and meeting other fellow traders!

Bodycraft festival 2018 - Aura painting at the event

It was my great pleasure to be one of the artists and traders part of this year's Bodycraft festival 2018 (in Cleethorpes, a previously unknown to me seaside town that actually was a jewel to discover!).
First of all, before being invited to participate I have to confess that I was not really familiar with the whole concept of body painting so finding myself surrounded by so many talented artists that paint bodies instead of canvas was simply an extraordinary and inspiring experience.
The funniest bit was thought that, upon arrival, I was asked if I was one of the models instead of the traders, which fact I found really flattering (this despite me and modelling not being a thing)!!

At the festival not only I managed to sell a number of prints but the concept of esoteric art and aura painting seemed to catch somehow a lot of interest among participants and traders, so much so I ended up doing a lot of little aura portraits. Fortunately my friend Mark assisted me for the whole length of the festival, dealing with all the setting up and sale side, so I was able to concentrate on the painting, a total dream! What I liked the most was the opportunity to chat with all the people that had their aura sketch done and talk about the concept of reading people's energies and perception of auras. During the lunch break I also did the aura sketch of my assistant, a proper mathematician's soul.

And...cherry on the cake, after receiving my aura painting one of the customers twitted it about. It was really touching to read such a kind message.

Furthermore before we left, we were blessed with the opportunity to watch the final catwalk with all the painted models showing off the work of the talented body-panting artists, there for the competition. A true work of art and a celebration of the human body (Leonardo and Michelangelo would be proud!). Here are some of the photos I took of the catwalk.

New aura painting adventures: Bodycraft Festival and Dark Days Alternative Market 2018

It is with my great pleasure that I can now announce officially my forthcoming participation in the following events where I will be trading and doing aura painting on the day:

1. First off is:

 10 March 2018 BodyCraft Festival 2018
The craft of body painting is absolutely ravishing and a feast for the eyes, so I am looking forward to participate and be involved. Who knows, I might even attempt painting people's aura on their body!

2. The second event is really dear to me since it is part of the Goth Weekend in Whitby! Seriously, it can't get any more Goth than this....

This is organised by Absinthe Promotions and on the very same day there will also be the Absinthe Goth Festival following the market, so if you can swing by to get your aura painting done or buy some prints before going to the gig!

Hull Horror Film Festival 2018 - The event

With a very lengthily and unforgivable delay, I am finally back updating my blog with all the recent art adventures and forthcoming projects. First of all, participating to the Hull Horror Film festival 2017 was an absolute gem. Still feel privileged for having had the opportunity to be involved in such an amazing event!!!

I totally enjoying trading among zombies, fairies, horror films characters and a variety of other traders and very talented artists. The costumes were ace and the all atmosphere absolutely incredible. Here is only a selection of all the incredibly masks and costumed I took during the day. 

Furthermore, this  was also the first time I had officially an assistant helping me selling prints and with the logistics (humble thanks to my friend Mark who came to help me!)

I am absolutely looking forward to participate to the same event next year!

Goth City Festival - The event

Super happy to update my blog by talking about the wonderful events organised in Leeds by the Goth City Promotions crew. First and foremost I would like to express my gratitude to Joel Heyes  for all of his hard work in putting the event together, gathering so many volunteers and basically making Leeds the true capital of Goth! And of course, also, for being so kind to invite me to trade at the event (no words can really describe how thankful I am!!).

Overall the was an amazing afternoon, and I also had an assistant (thank you Julie!!) to help me manning the stand whilst drinking a copious amount of tea and eating cakes.

At the event I also met one of the representatives of PAFRAS the charity organisation to which the Goth City festival donates profits (such a nobble gesture). I was really touched to see this image being twittered the day after, and discover that their office's wall is now covered with my prints! Please have a look at the charity page, they are supporting a really good cause and do a lot of good work.
