This diptych was one of my first works created in Cambridge. Back then I was still strongly inspired by the Italian Renaissance art which has heavily influenced my growth as an artist. In particularly with these pieces I was trying to replicate the feeling of a Renaissance tapestry. The trees symbolise life and death as they manifest themselves in the eternal cycle of the seasons.
